Aunt Millie's Southwest Tortilla Soup has a wonderful blend of vegetables a fabulous flavour with a touch of southwest spice. Serve with tortillas and a dollop of sour cream. Amazing.
Each package makes approximately 12 cups of delicious soup.
Aunt Millie's Southwest Tortilla Soup freezes well for up to 3 months.
You will need: 9 cups of water and optionally 1 to 2 pounds of cooked chicken (perfect used for leftover chicken).
Directions: Bring water to a boil. Add all the packet ingredients and chicken. Simmer on medium for 60 minutes or until desired tenderness of the beans. Stir occassionally. Enjoy.
Serving Suggestion: Top each bowl with a dollop of sour cream a little Tex Mex or Monterey Jack cheese and tortillas on the side or crushed to the soup.
